UNILAG AGGREGATE SCORE CALCULATION (WITH WEIGHTING SYSTEM)

Weighting System: UTME contributes 50%, O'Level contributes 20%, and Post-UTME contributes 30% of the total UNILAG aggregate score.

UNILAG formula: UTME Score / 8 + O'Level Points (best 5) + Post-UTME Score.

O'LEVEL RESULT COMPONENT (20%)

The calculation uses your best 5 relevant O'Level subjects (including English Language and Mathematics) with points assigned as shown below. UNILAG accepts only one sitting.

Example: Using grades B2, B3, B3, C5, C6: 3.6 + 3.2 + 3.2 + 2.4 + 2.0 = 14.4 points

UTME SCORE COMPONENT (50%)

Your UTME score (out of 400) is scaled to a maximum of 50 points using: (UTME Score / 8)

Example: If your UTME score is 286, then 286 ÷ 8 = 35.75 points.

STATE CATEGORIES:

For the CATCHMENT category, only Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ondo, and Ekiti states are considered as catchment areas.

All other states are evaluated using the MERIT benchmark.

FINAL EXAMPLE CALCULATION

Using UTME Score of 286, O'Level Total of 16 and Post-UTME Score of 22:

• UTME Component: 286 ÷ 8 = 35.75 points
• O'Level Component: 16.00 points
• Post-UTME Component: 22.00 points
• Your Aggregate Score: 35.75 + 16.00 + 22.00 = 73.75

The maximum obtainable O'Level score is 20 points (4+4+4+4+4). Any subject with D7, E8, or F9 will not be counted in your screening score.
